How to send cash or transfer funds
  • How to send cash

    1. Dial *150*55#
    2. Select ‘'Send/Withdraw’' (option 4)
    3. Enter the recipient's mobile number
    4. Enter the money to be sent in multiples of 5000.                                                                                      
    5. Select the account you want to transfer the funds from
    6. Create a 4-digit PIN for the recipient                                                                                                                                            
    7. Confirm PIN
    8. Share this PIN with the recipient
    9. Confirm the transaction, and receive a confirmation note of the transaction
    10. An SMS will be sent to the recipient's number with the details of the voucher.
    11. Send the PIN separately to the recipient for security reasons
  • How to transfer funds to an NBC account

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select option 1: Send Money
    3. Select option 2: To other NBC account 
    4. Enter beneficiary account numer
    5. Enter amount to be transferred 
    6. Select the account you want to transfer funds from
    7. Press 1 to confirm the transaction
    8. You see a confirmation screen and receive an SMS

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select Send Money (option 1) 
    3. Select Send to Phone (option 3)
    4. Select Mobile Money Operator for sending money to (Airtel Money,MPESA,Tigopesa,Ezypesa)
    5. Select wallet to transfer funds to (to own number or to other mobile number)
    6. Enter the number you wish to send money to
    7. Enter the amount you wish to transfer
    8. Select the account you would like to debit from
    9. Confirm the transaction
How to add a beneficiary
  • Airtime top up

    1. Dial *150*55# and Enter PIN
    2. Select option 8: Language/My Account
    3. Select option 2: Add/Change Beneficiary Details
    4. Select option 3: Airtime Top up
    5. Select  option 1: New beneficiary
    6. Select the operator (check with receiver if unsure)
    7. Enter the mobile number
    8. Enter beneficiary nick name (max 15 chars)
    9. Press 1 to confirm details
    10. You see a confirmation screen
  • Fund transfer to an NBC account

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select option 8: Language/My Account
    3. Select option 2: Add/Change Beneficiary Details 
    4. Select option 4: to Bank Beneficiaries
    5. Select  option 1: Register Beneficiary
    6. Select NBC account (option 1)
    7. Enter beneficiary account number
    8. Enter beneficiary nick name
    9. Press 1 to confirm
    10. You see a confirmation screen
  • Electricity

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select option 8: Language/My Account
    3. Select option 2: Add/Change Beneficiary Details
    4. Select option 2: Registered Billers
    5. Select  option 1: Register A Biller
    6. Select the Biller (option 3: LUKU)
    7. Enter meter number
    8. Enter biller nick name
    9. Press 1 to confirm details
    10. You see a confirmation screen
How to buy electricity and top up airtime
  • Buy electricity

    1. Visit www.nbc.co.tz
    2. Click login next to the search tab
    3. Click register on the personal login option
    4. Enter customer information and Accept the terms and conditions 
    5. You receive an OTP via SMS
    6. Enter OTP and click next
    7. Create username and password on the password confirmation screen
    8. Click next
    9. You will see a confirmation screen 
  • Top up airtime

    Own number:

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select option 3: Buy Airtime 
    3. Select option 1: Mobile Operators
    4. Select Operator for Buying Airtime (Airtel/Vodacom/Tigo/Zantel/TTCL Prepaid)
    5. Select To Own Number (Option 1)
    6. Enter amount you wish to top up
    7. Select the account you would like to debit from
    8. Confirm the transaction

    Other number

    1. Dial *150*55# and enter PIN
    2. Select option 3; Buy Airtime 
    3. Select option 1; Mobile Operators
    4. Select Operator for Buying Airtime (Airtel/Vodacom/Tigo/Zantel/TTCL Prepaid)
    5. Select option 2: To Other Number
    6. Enter mobile number
    7. Enter amount you wish to top up
    8. Select the account you would like to debit from
    9. Confirm the transaction
How to request a statement and reset your PIN
  • Request a statement

    1. Dial *150*55#
    2. Select Option 6; Other Services
    3. Select Option 3; Request
    4. Select Option 2; Request printed statement
    5. You see a confirmation screen (your request has been accepted and you will receive your statement in 3 working days)
  • Reset your PIN

    1. Dial *150*55# 
    2. Press 1 if you do not remember your pin
    3. Please keep your debit card with you for PIN
    4. Then Press 1 to continue
    5. Enter account number
    6. Enter 2nd and 3rd position character of your date of birth in YYYYMMDD format
    7. Enter the 7th, 9th, 10th, 15th digits of debit card number (embossed on your card)
    8. Press 1 to confirm
    9. You see a confirmation screen and recieve an SMS
